I’m not an economist or a political activist.
I’m a grandfather, a business owner, and someone who’s increasingly concerned about the kind of economy our children and grandchildren will inherit.
Over the past year, I’ve been digging deeper into the long-term fiscal health of the United States—and what I’ve found has made me uneasy. Not panicked. Not pessimistic. But deeply thoughtful.
It turns out that when you look at the history of great nations, debt and discipline tend to go hand in hand. When discipline disappears, decline usually isn’t far behind.
Inspired by recent work from Ray Dalio and others, I’ve decided to speak up—not as an expert, but as a citizen.
That’s why I’ve written a new 7-part series titled:
Debt, Dollars & Decisions: Why I’m Speaking Up Now
It’s a plainspoken, apolitical look at America’s growing debt, what it means for the future, and how everyday Americans—especially business leaders—can step up with clarity, calm, and commitment.
The first article will drop in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I’ll share a few sneak peeks and invite you into the conversation.
If you’re concerned about our future—and want to be part of the solution—I hope you’ll follow along.
For over two decades, I’ve had the privilege of guiding leaders through the challenges and opportunities of building both companies and lives. Reply or email me, [email protected], if this strikes a chord—I’d welcome the chance to explore how we can turn vision into lasting impact.
