Patrick Taylor is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician. He has more than thirty years of clinical and administrative healthcare leadership experience. Pat has successfully managed a complex health organization through multiple mergers, acquisitions, joint-ventures, and partnerships. He started his career as an emergency medicine physician at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, today a member of the Trinity Health national healthcare system. Over a thirty-year career, he served in increasing roles of responsibility including Chief Department of Emergency Medicine, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and most recently as Regional President and CEO. As Regional President and CEO, Led the strategic direction for a budget of $530M of net revenue, 2700 employees, 600 physicians, a 170-physician employed medical group, a clinically integrated network (CIN) and a Super CIN (two healthcare systems and a physician led ACO) of 1950 physicians with over 202,000 covered lives. During his tenure he led the transformation of Holy Cross into an academic teaching institution in affiliation with the University of Miami, developed clinical affiliations with Massachusetts General Hospital, and significantly expanded several luminary clinical programs. Pat has recently been providing senior administrative and medical leadership consulting to Catholic Health Services as part of the Emergency Incident Command Team’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. His role has included advising senior leadership team in managing complex environments of care for patients and residents, serving as a liaison between the acute care hospital and post-acute care services, and interpreting and implementing new CMS, CDC, and Department of Health regulatory policies and guidance for COVID-19. In addition, Pat took on another role with GlaxoSmithKline as Medical Director of the United States Medical Affairs COVID Therapeutics Team. Throughout his career and today, Pat remains active in professional and community non-profit organizations, serving in many leadership roles. He has been recognized with several prestigious community awards for his service. Pat attended the University of Notre Dame, received his medical degree from Duke University, completed his emergency medicine residency at the Georgetown/George Washington/University of Maryland combined programs. In addition, Pat subsequently received an MBA from Florida Atlantic University.
