Dennis Shuman

Dennis Shuman brings a breadth and depth of practical business knowledge to his new role and career as a CEO Peer Group Facilitator. He joined the CEOIQ Community as part of his transition from a ‘line executive’ to that of an advisor and coach to forward thinking CEO’s in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Dennis was an executive with Speer Mechanical in the Columbus area. He served there for over 40 years, becoming President in 1995. He retired from Speer in 2018 and remains active in the company as Board Chair.

In addition to having ‘on the firing line’ experience leading a large organization in a challenging business, Dennis is a practicing attorney. Combining business and legal skills and knowledge over his long career has helped shape a CEO Peer Group Facilitator who brings practical, usable and actionable knowledge to his Group.

Additionally, Dennis is very community-involved in his home town. He is active in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, serving on many committees and contributing his experience and expertise to guiding the business affairs of the congregation. He is active in the Columbus Urban League, working with the Summer Youth Employment committees and Recreation Unlimited’s fundraising activities. He is currently an active member of the Dublin Irish Festival Committee in Dublin, Ohio.

Dennis’s education includes a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from Penn State University and a Law Degree from Capital University Law School. He has been active in many trade associations and business groups as part of his long and multi-faceted career.

As a CEO Peer Advisory Group Facilitator in the CEOIQ Community, Dennis is bringing a fresh perspective to a group of high-profile Entrepreneurs and CEO’s in the Columbus area.
